Sometimes Mondays.

look like progress! The top photo is my Play Room (fka “Craft Room” … I think Play sounds a lot more fun, don’t you?) and the pink markups show next steps: 1. hanging five coat racks on a very blank wall and then hanging skeins of yarn; 2. putting my stash of sweater quantities on the top two shelves of the bookcase. also, do you spy that blocked Dissent and three socks on the mats? yay!!! The bottom two photos are my study. All that needs to be done in here (yes, I am back in here, sitting at the … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.

are a mess! Marc and I spent most of the weekend making sure we were ready for the painters. We transferred closets to a spare room in the basement (lower right) and a little bit to our living room (center right). I unloaded my craft room (upper right). and we both spent a few hours decluttering and reorganizing along the way. It felt like we were in good shape. until about 11 am (center left). That’s our bedroom. Last night I was so happy to have ALL my clothes out of storage units in the closet and actually in the … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.

…is the perfect day to test out a new bottle of nail polish 🙂 I had planned to wear this newest shade – OMG – from Olive and June’s winter collection last week, but the package arrived after I’d done my manicure. bonus points that the shade matches my current read, too! Wishing y’all a good week. and finding plenty of things – big and little – to celebrate!   Continue reading Sometimes Monday.

… are for catching up. I certainly didn’t set out to skip a week here. Every day, I thought about it. and every day I gave myself permission not to. In the meantime, I finished a pair of socks and a baby sweater, started a new sweater, finished a fantastic book, kept watch over the amaryllis, treated myself to a manicure, and enjoyed a few delicious meals (with wine ♥). I also spent time reflecting on next steps, making lists, and just being. It was a wonderful break! and it’s good to be back. Here’s to a great week, my … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.

can’t help but make you smile. Holly is back to regular morning walks beyond our little neighborhood. And the cherry trees have bloomed. I bound off and blocked Nightshift yesterday and got to wear it today – with another white blouse and jeans 😉 – because wow! it was SPRING! I went to knitting this afternoon and seamed the sleeves on my purple coat. Mixed blessing that the weather appears to be perfect for me to wear it later this week. I also got to participate in the conversation about the Super Bowl, because y’all … I watched the WHOLE THING. … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.

are good days for catching up! I spent a few hours yesterday with my in-box and Feedly reader and enjoyed reading about what y’all have been up to. Today I have a few updates with what’s been happening around here. First, the mother of our two favorite little boys is celebrating a birthday today. (and not that anyone’s counting, but this means I’ve been a mama for 33 years!) We have plans for dinner and cake next weekend and I love that we’ll be able to celebrate in person. And now, back to the weekend before last (yep, it has … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.

…are for getting back into old routines. I am happy to be joining Robin and The Balanced Life (along with Kat and Juliann) to get myself back into daily Pilates. Beginning today, Robin is re-running the 10 day Mind Body Pilates Challenge; the 15-minute workouts are perfect to fit into what’s looking like a full 10 days leading up to our trip. One day down and nine to go! I also enjoyed getting together with my knitting group this afternoon. While I was there, I joined the third ball of yarn for Big Love and with luck, I’ll have something actually … Continue reading Sometimes Mondays.
