This marks the almost-end of the first month in a very long time that I didn’t make a list of things I wanted to accomplish. I did have weekly to-do lists to be sure the must-do’s got done, but that was about it. So I have things in Process now.
A healthy stack of books (plus one on my Kindle – Goodreads link here)I never intended to finish Middlemarch this month (that won’t come til January), but I thought I might finish the other three. Of course the one on my Kindle (Peter Swanson’s Eight Perfect Murders) wasn’t even on my TBR, so who knows what I thought about it 😉
And a sweater (Ravelry link) that seems perfect for fallI finished the tubular bind-off on the body just now … the light is terrible (because rain), but the colors actually look pretty true to life. and I couldn’t help noticing how well those colors match the view from this morning’s walkI love that purple is a fall color! (and this photo almost makes me wish I liked to wear that leafy/grassy green!)
Of course there are still two full days left in the month … maybe that’s a sleeve, or the last couple essays in Toni Morrison, or long walks looking at the changing colors, or catching up with y’all, or replying to all your lovely comments on my latest blog posts … or better yet, some of all that … and at least another hundred pages (or two or three or four?!) of Cloud Cuckoo Land, because if I’m being completely honest, spending the next two days curled up in the chair with that book feels like it would be amazing.
Wishing y’all a lovely weekend!
