I wrote last week about the Coffeehouse Mysteries. Just now I finished the fifth one, something like 50 hours of audio since I started listening to the first back on March 18. I’m a dedicated serial listener, and #6 is on hold, so now I’ll be taking a break.
But not from coffee! Clare Cosi, the main character and manager of the coffeehouse, is a huge fan of the stovetop espresso machine. I pulled mine out and was reminded how much I love that strong brew. and that I need to get some fresh coffee. I’m pretty sure grind in the cupboard was from Marc’s last Asia trip … in early 2017! (Clare would be appalled, I’m sure.)
and (of course!) not from knitting. That 5th book was great company for the sleeves on the latest Quick Sand.
Now I’ve got ends to weave in (not too many) … and a new audiobook for company. My library is participating in the Big Library Read and I downloaded Flat Broke with Two Goats. I have no idea what it’s about … but I’m hoping it won’t be set in a coffeehouse đŸ˜‰.
Check out Kat’s to see what others are unraveling this week!
I have one of those coffee makers and I just started listening to Flat Broke today. Are we twins?
I just took out Flat Broke on Overdrive. I hadn't heard of "Big Library Read" previously (or forgot about it), but when I went on to my library's web page, the book was there waiting for me to check it out!Love the purple of your sweater!!
I enjoyed the Coffeehouse Mysteries that I have read, though they tend to make me both hungry and thirsty!
Your Quick Sand is going to be lovely!
That lovely purple color! Just perfect for spring. (And you crack me up with your coffee. . . ) XOXO
Your sweater is beautiful! And the book…it must be good set in my favorite neighborhood! đŸ™‚
I can see why you have knit this a few times — it is such a lovely sweater! And you have me interested in the Coffeehouse Mysteries and a cup of espresso. : )
I am just loving the color of that cardigan!! How did I miss the part about the Coffeehouse Mysteries?? (It's been busy 'round here and my head's been spinning on occasion.)
Your sweater is looking great and what a wonderful color! I wonder just how much coffee was consumed while reading those mysteries??? I know they would make me want a cuppa and then I would be up reading all night!
I have coffee every single morning from my Bialetti, it is my very best friend! And, go you on all those listening hours!!
Love the quick sand-such a pretty color.
A good cozy mystery, cuppa – or two – strong coffee and a finished sweater: lovely color. What's not to like about this day!Cheers~
