Mid-December Weekending.

… full of poinsettias, twinkle lights and lots of holiday cheer!

Here’s a glamour shot of Bodie, blocked and ready for sleeves and a collar, which I’ve decided will wait until next week … after my mom moves, after Sara’s visit, after more holiday cheer … when just maybe I’ll have a quiet morning or two to focus!

I finally finished knitting the Through the Loops Mystery Shawl from 2016. All I had left was the picot bind-off, which took all my Friday, Saturday and early Sunday morning knitting time.

There were a lot of picots, but mostly, there was not a lot of knitting time. Saturday afternoon, my mom and I went out to lunch and then saw the Atlanta Symphony Holiday Pops show. It was fantastic!

I snuck in a quick walk to the lake yesterday morning.

Thankfully, the Christmas music program at church was rescheduled for yesterday morning – and it was wonderful!

In the afternoon, Lydia, Steve, Mother and I saw the Stage Door Players’ Christmas at Sweet Apple. Another great show! and then we enjoyed an early dinner out.

My mom starts moving in tomorrow and hopefully she’ll be settled in before the weekend. Sara arrives Thursday evening. Plus more family gatherings and a few parties. I’ve got multiple lists!

Merry Merry and here’s to a good week!

  5. I'm so glad y'all got to join us, and I hope we can go back to Novo Cucino to share a pizza soon. I realized this morning I haven't even begun to plan a menu for Christmas Eve brunch and Christmas Day-guess I'd best get on that !

  6. Your weekend sounds absolutely lovely! And Bodie is gorgeous!! I think a big part of Christmas is being together with family — happy to hear Sara will be home. : )
