Hello September.

this morning at my desk – 7:55 a.m. and I still need lamplight…

Hello September.

Hello blank pages, fresh starts and new beginnings.

Hello family birthday season (which officially begins next weekend with Charlie’s third birthday party!).

Hello cooler temperatures and sweater weather (Alaska spoiled me).

Hello college football weekends with bourbon cocktails.

Hello falling leaves and changing colors.

Hello finding joy in the little things*.

Hello long weekend (what a perfect beginning).

These monthly lists are a wonderful reminder about what I love in each month and season. Thank you Carole and Kat (and the rest of the Think Write Thursday gang) for another great week with one of my favorite prompts!

Also – Book Bingo officially wraps up this weekend. Books you finish by midnight on Monday, September 4 count for a square.

*from Ali Edwards’ OLW prompt for September – so glad I made time this morning to watch the video!

  1. I do love fall and September but am a little conflicted about the diminishing light. One of the things on my list is to hunt for my copy of Gift From the Sea, but I see you've got yours right at hand. Charlie can not be three already! Tempus fugit and carpe diem!

  2. Yep, I'm getting up well before sunrise these days! I certainly don't mind wearing a sweater, and eventually a scarf or shawl, but I am LOATHE to give up the sandals. Yay, football & cocktails & joy!THREE!!

  3. September is such a lovely month, but I'm with Bonny on the light. It hurts to see it disappearing so quickly. But, autumn is full of so much joy! How, how, how can Charlie be 3?!

  4. Ali Edwards is still around??? I used to love her scrapbook pages — back in the day, when scrapbooking was everywhere.I can tell you are not in Wisconsin because we break out the brandy when fall hits!

    1. Ali Edwards is still around and going strong! She has on-line classes now for One Little Word and December Daily. I've taken OLW three or four times.
