Happily, most of this week’s knitting progress has been “forward”. There was a small setback Monday evening when I discovered I’d forgotten to make two buttonholes along the right edge. The sad part is that one of them was 27 rows back. The happy part is that the buttonholes are worked as yarn over/knit two together, so I could add them in without ripping everything back (whew!)

in process … done! |
Along with ten repeats of knitting, I also finished three books.
It feels like I’m off to a great Bingo start – I gave all three (Sea Change, How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia and My Name is Lucy Barton) four stars.
Now I’m still listening to – and completely loving – One Hundred Years of Solitude. I was reading it for the Read Harder challenge, so I set it aside last week. But after finishing the first three books, I picked it back up and decided it would fit on my card – a Re-read, a Translation or the free square. It’s nice to have so many options!
I got to listen to almost three hours today (ugh. traffic.) when I drove to and from Charlie’s house. More on our outing in another post, but I can’t resist sharing just one photo.
and now I’m enjoying this.

Endeavour. Season Two. |
Joining in with Kat and crew today. Can’t wait to see what y’all are knitting and reading!
Three bingo squares already! Wow!
Three squares already!! Glad you could fix the button band ok.
You are on a roll! Glad you could fix your boo boo without having to ribbet ribbet…looking fwd to today's Charlie story – he looks so happy and you too!Cheers~
Great start on your bingo card and Endeavour is one of my favorites too.
Endeavour is a great series, glad the knitting was easily sorted and wow, you are doing well with the bingo reading.
Good job on the knit-fix! I love it when they're (relatively) straightforward and fix-able without ripping back. (And with that kind of traffic to see your grandsons, I think you'll be a BINGO-Queen!) XO
You are cooking with gas Mary! Very impressive fix too. That's always a nail biter…though I've only done it once or twice!
Three books already!! I had high hopes to finish at least one (I am SO close), but there's too much vying for attention — plus allergies seem to really be a Thing this year. Ugh.
OYS is the perfect book for being stuck in traffic. I'm impressed you've finished so many! I have one under my belt. Good job on fixin' the knittin'. Charlie's got his smile on!!
Okay, your unraveling wins a prize! Thank you for sharing and your use of that stitch marker is brilliant. I have filed this away in my brain to use! And, go you on your 3 books! Yay!
you are off to a great start! My reading has been sporadic but I hope to get into the groove soon, I guess the knitting is capturing my interest more these days.
yea me, I get to unravel a whole front on meridian, but I am determined.
