The rest of our weekend went much like the photos I shared on Friday. Blue skies and sunshine made it great to be outside. We played non-stop through Friday and Saturday (although I did get an hour of quiet time with a book on the deck Friday afternoon while a crew went to the pool).
The house quieted down when the Tiemans left Sunday morning. We spent a very relaxing (honestly, almost a little too relaxing for me – I can’t remember the last time I sat around for four hours without a book or knitting) afternoon cruising the lake with one of Lydia’s co-workers. The lake is huge – over 19,000 acres – so we didn’t even begin to see all of it. We got back to the house just in time to make snacks and find the soccer game (gotta love live streaming on the iPad). Our team won – which made Sunday evening more fun.
I got home just after noon yesterday; Marc was out golfing until mid-afternoon … two hours of complete quiet (except for Holly’s snores) was a nice way to unwind.
Here are two more photos I just couldn’t fit into the collage – Lydia and I on the lake. (thank you to my sister for taking it!)
What was your favorite moment from the weekend? (and were you fortunate enough to get a photo of it?)
My fave moment is the photo of Charlie and your BIL…too too cute! Second: Seeing the little kids splash in the pool at our park! They were having a ball and hearing their laughter, priceless! Looks like your weekend was super. Welcome back home…and yeah, I guess it would be kinda hard to read and/or knit on a speeding boat!Cheers~
Time spent with family is wonderful, and so is time alone to recharge! I like that Charlie has his sippy cup while the rest of you are clinking your cocktails, and is that your mother scoring more Yahtzees?!
It looks like you all had such a great time together! And how nice that the weather cooperated, too. I had a lot of great moments over the weekend but my favorite may just have been the lobsters we had on Sunday night.
Looks like you had a wonderful weekend! Perfect weather, family, good times, cocktails – nice! Love that last picture of Charlie and Ron – images of each other – too funny!
You take the best pictures and chronicle your experiences so well! We had a lovely weekend and I took NOT ONE PICTURE!
This trip was so wonderful-it was very very quiet this morning-ready to get into a summer routine now that all the "hard" stuff is done.
the last photo!! so sweet 🙂 looks like you had a great time and now you are back at the same old same old. I bet you'll be off again on another adventure.
Fantastic photos! My favorite moments were putzing in the garden… and no, there is no photo evidence!
That photo of Charlie and your brother-in-law is just fabulous! It makes me smile every time I see it! It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend get-away, Mary. What a great way to start the summer. XO
Looks like a perfectly wonderful way to begin the summer! We seem to be in a dreary, rainy, chilly pattern here but I'm hopeful the weather pattern will change soon. On the positive side, the weather was perfect for staying in and finishing a paper I had to write. No photo but it sure felt good to hit that submit button. : )
That sounds like a pretty great weekend! Charlie's so cute.
