Tuesdays with Charlie | Two and a half.

Charlie and I are now into our third year of Tuesdays. Looking back over the archives is a sure reminder that 1) time flies; and 2) having photos and words to document the little steps along the way* is an easy way to lose spend an hour on a Tuesday evening.

Today we were back to our “typical” schedule. I picked him up at 7am and dropped him off just after 5pm. Here’s a glimpse into ten hours of toddler time:
a “selfie” to send to his mom
at the library
after nap … all smiles!

“soccer” … yes the ground really does slope that much!
a scoop of “ice” and some fabulous people watching at Avalon. oh boy, I can’t wait for more of this in the months to come!

and just like that it was time to head home. Another fun day added to the archives. (and whew, glad for a glass of wine and a book. even with a good nap, ten hours of toddler time is tiring!)

*Charlie two years ago (whoa, I’d forgotten about the snow!). and last year.

  1. I do look forward to your Tuesdays with Charlie and am glad that you share them with us. Maybe he could use a soccer net (or a soccer-playing Marmie) to return the ball to him? That lion and mouse sculpture (Aesop's fables?) is fascinating!

  2. He looks like he is trying to avoid the toddler paparazzi in those sunglasses! So adorable. He looks like a nice little boy.

  3. I love the selfies – they are priceless! And, that slope! For a minute I thought you might be in Pittsburgh!! Tuesday's might be tiring, but they look like the best days ever!

  4. Such wonderful Tuesdays for you Mary! And Charlie is maturing so fast…yikes! Like Bonny, I love that sculpture of the lion and mouse.

  5. Tuesday with Charlie are always fun to see. Charlie changes so much even from week to week, but year to year is amazing. I'm a little envious of your warm temps!

  6. It's always nice to follow along on your adventures with Charlie. And I love that library time is a part of your day. I miss the days of reading with and to my children.

  7. Charlie is "rockin" those sunglasses! He's too cool! I can just about imagine how your energy is at a minus 10 after a delightful day with this young fella. I remember the lions at the Chicago Public Library still to this day…he'll remember fondly those at your local PL. Til next Tues, rock on…Cheers~
