Today’s Think Write Thursday topic is three things I’d do if I were President of the United States. Of course I have zero desire to be President; I wouldn’t even know where to start. But I do know which three policy areas are most important to me:
A strong system for public education and full literacy is a must.
Everyone is equal. regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, skin color, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, eating habits, income, health, marital status …
This Earth is a precious gift. It’s the only one we have. We need to treat it as such.
However I doubt that platform would’ve helped me get elected (unless I had a really terrific speechwriter and a lot of folks smarter and savvier than I to help me communicate it!)
Instead, I’m feeling right now like what I’d do as President is not as important as how I’d lead:

While I agree with your three policy areas completely, I'm really impressed with how you would lead. The hope quote is going on my refrigerator today!
Education, including but not limited to schooling, etc, is clearly a must needed agenda item for any/all leaders on all levels…Your thoughtful response to the prompt makes you an A-1 candidate for POTUS…I'd vote for you any day!Cheers~
Education – a crucial key to every single person's success. This is especially telling in that the incoming apparently cannot read a 200 page security briefing. Sad! Perhaps too many big league (or bigly) words!
I'm with you on all of this. I wish I were more hopeful though.
I'm having a hard time reading these posts today . . . It seems so easy and practical to do the right things. I just wish the politicians would agree. . .

yeah, I've been thinking of that "color of their skin and content of their character" quote ever since the election. It's almost like Dr. King saw it coming.

I enjoyed your post, and those are some encouraging quotes. If I thought there was even a small chance our next president would lead the way you would I would feel a lot more hopeful.
I wouldn't want to be the President either. My hope is in a higher power and I think we need to invest more in our community. The need is great.
