What Was I Thinking?

… back on April 1st when I wrote down these goals for April:

I’m disappointed about the weights; I haven’t been to the weight room once all month. I did finish the Spring Cowl, Meridian is close and Jessie’s Girl is blocking. But what made me laugh out loud were those two other projects. Seriously?! I have started a scarf, but it’s a long way from being done. and one more cardigan? not even in the wings…
Honestly, I’m not sure what I’m going to knit next. The retailer preview for next weekend’s release of the new Churchmouse patterns looks awesome. as in I could see myself making everything. So I think I’m going to finish what I’ve started and then decide. I might not even set knitting goals for May (?!?). (but I will get to the gym and that’s a promise to myself I intend to keep.)
Do you set goals for your knitting? It feels quite freeing to think about letting that go!

  1. I used to set knitting goals but I don't anymore. Of course, I don't knit as much anymore either. There may or may not be a correlation between those two sentences. 😉

  2. You seem to have achieved quite a lot, in fact. I am longing for the day when I can start doing weights – I really need to for my bones. Sometimes setting an intention works better than setting s definite goal?

  3. I don't set knitting goals. At all. I kind of wander from project to project, depending on my mood and the season. Like Carole, my knitting has slowed quite drastically these days. I'm still interested . . . just finding myself drifting in other directions.

  4. After I do my Shibui summer knits, I'm going to focus on 2 sport weight-ish pullovers that are soooo close to done, and the the rest of the blocks from the Kaffe Fassett KAL, also sooooo close

  5. Very few knitting goals but still lots and lots of things that I'd like to knit! Accomplishing knitting and reading is such a challenge!

  6. I have "stitchin'" goals…and that catchall term truly includes knitting…one of these days I plan to resume my poncho (remember it?) just as soon as I get a better grip on a few other projects. At least, that's what Im thinkin'…Cheers~

  7. Goals mean you MUST do this or that and knitting is for enjoyment and entertainment. I knit when I can, as well as, do other crafts and handwork when the feeling strikes. Art should be for love, not musts.
