Marc’s out for dinner. it’s raining. my elbow needs a rest (as do my ears…more on that later!) and it’s been over two months since I shared one of my photo-a-day collages. seems like the perfect time for a quick catch-up. how is it that sixty days can seem like so much time….or really, not much at all.
I created that January collage in early February – right on schedule! – but … never found the right day to share it. Then as the days passed, it started to feel like those first two months were just blurring together. and now that it’s March, sharing them together seems right.
Those first days of January seem like another year…but those weeks in Florida (starting on Sunday, January 17) still seem fresh…and sometimes raw. I’m reminded – for probably the millionth plus one time – how much I LOVE this daily photo habit.
I know regular readers will recognize most of these photos. Blue Sky Blooms from Florida and home. a few WIPs (and FOs :-), Charlie, Spring! … and maybe even Mah Jong.
But that last Mah Jong photo (Monday, February 22) is new. That’s my first “real” game, and me – winning! yep! a win!! – which might just explain why I’m totally hooked. (and why I didn’t even pull out my knitting. not even once! the whole time we played).

Now that we’re three days into March, I find myself thinking about what moments I want to capture this month. What moment(s) would you want to save?

You've experienced so much in those sixty days that I can certainly understand why it all feels blurred. Despite the raw sadness, your photos do show that things go on … not the same as before, but flowers (many!) bloom, Holly takes walks, Charlie grows (as does knitting), and games are played. What do I want to capture in March? All the good moments, full of love and happiness.P.S. I have to ask; what's being pounded on Jan. 30th? It looks like Fig Newtons but that would be awful. 🙂
Capturing a daily moment in a photo is a wonderful way to remember the little things and the big things, too. Thanks for sharing your moments with us and congrats on that Mah Jong win!
Maybe just the gloominess here but I notice a lot of great colors in your daily photos. Way to go on your win! I've only played the computer version but I would love to try the real thing.
Seems to me there's a big difference in Charlie, in those 60 days.
How fun to be a winner at a new to you game! Your photos show the daily loveliness of living, even through loss.
Capturing each day with your camera is a powerful tool in . . . seeing the whole. (And I'd love to learn to play mah jong! Wish we were closer so you could show me how.)
The blue skies for sure and warm sunny days.
I enjoyed revisiting first two months in this year…this is really a super project and so do appreciate your sharing. …and reminding me that I too have Feb to share.Cheers~
