the view from my car yesterday afternoon |
After nearly four weeks in Florida, it feels … strange and unsettled to be sitting at my kitchen counter.
I did walk dark early in the park this morning with Lauren; I’m grateful that’s one routine that won’t be hard to re-establish. But the piles of paperwork (yikes, tax season!), the empty cupboard and bare refrigerator (I guess now is a great time to clean it!), the dust, the laundry … so much else … seems overwhelming.
Thank goodness it’s Friday. I’m looking forward to catching up with Marc. and hopefully Charlie (and his mama). and being back here with y’all next week.
Have a great weekend!
You've been missed, Mary. You're going to have a wonderful reunion with Charlie! He'll be so happy to see you.
A strange and unsettling time… but all will fall into place again, mostly familiar. Charlie!! A visit with him will surely put the world right. 😉
I've missed you and am glad you're home. Thinking of you, your mother, and family, and hope that the familiar and comfortable routines return soon. Tax season seems overly cruel for reentry, but I bet hugs, smiles, and laughter from Charlie will help immensely!
I'm sure it's weird but I'm betting it will feel great in no time. I would imagine that the time you spent in Florida was one of those "set apart" times that Kym talks about. Now that you are home you will have to go back to your regular life but that is now a life that will include grieving for your dad and it's going to be hard. I'm here any time you want to chat.
You HAVE been missed!!!! I think Charlie will be good salve for you during this time. I, for one, am so glad you're back because Saturday mornings have just not been the same. I mean, mopping my kitchen floor somehow does not hold the same appeal as chatting with you . . .?? I know you probably find that hard to believe, but trust me on this one. 😉
It can be so tough getting back into the swing of things. Much like when you realize you have nothing on the needles and nothing swatched! Welcome home
So glad you had a safe trip home. Your time in Leesburg was invaluable!
Welcome home, Mary. I hope the routines of EveryDayLife bring you comfort. XO
