Friday Fun | Toddler Edition.

Today was supposed to be all about the Sark Wrap. Our shop KAL officially started today…and I think I was the only participant. Due to the rain and the small dog who lives here and has … issues … with her “business” when it rains, I didn’t make it to the shop. I did get my wrap started and made it through the first bobble row

before Katie called me and asked for a little help with their Friday evening. She’s been feeling flu-ish…not that I needed any reason at all.

By the time I arrived (later than I’d hoped thanks to small dog and … issues) dinner was done. so … play time! Charlie loves to dance and Katie has a few playlists full of his favorite tunes. We also read a few books. Then played a game where Charlie climbed onto the sofa and directed me and Katie to join him…one on each side (and then he’d get down…and back up again… and yeah, repeat).

Honestly, it was a relief when bath time came. It’s been a few months since I joined that routine. He’s changed a lot!  and oh my is he a ham for the camera!

and oh my can I take a LOT of photos!

Katie suggested I take a video.

and then play it back for him. He loves it!

more please!

  1. Sounds like a fun Friday for sure. I hope Katie is feeling better. It's nice that you are so close to her that you can pop over to help like that. My mom was, too, when Hannah was little and it was such a huge thing for me.

  2. My Friday fun was making trips to Griffin and Acworth and back for mine and Mom's eye exam in the rain! However we are "this" close to getting her into a new place that is income based-so whoot-whoot. The wrap is going to be stunning

  3. Nothing is better than your mother bringing you soup and helping out when you don't feel well, and then there is that added benefit of play time and bath time for you! The sofa step game is probably perfect for Charlie now, but in another year or so he might be ready for some of these: http://www.theuglyvolvo.com/games-to-play-with-your-child-in-which-you-barely-have-to-move-or-talk/I fondly remember several games of very sick patient where I got to lie down for ten precious minutes while the kids put multiple band aids on me and wrapped me in ace bandages. I hope Katie is feeling better (and nobody else gets it!)

  4. Oh my goodness. Those little rituals and games… over and over! Junah loves music, too, and after he's directed me to turn on all the lights, he lets me know that sound should be coming out of my little Bose mini speaker! Bath time! I haven't had that pleasure yet AT ALL. Hm. Things are gonna change!! 😉

  5. Lucky you, Katie and Charlie could have fun together…hopefully Katie's feeling mucho better by now. So, Holly doesn't like to get wet, uh? Shame on her. Can never get enough of that Charlie…such a happy kiddo!Cheers~
