…Halloween 2015.
The costume was Katie’s idea, inspired by one of Charlie’s favorite stuffed animals – Henry the Fox. She found the Fox Hat pattern on Ravelry; I had the yarn in my stash … done deal! Next I found the vest pattern (free!) and once we had this inspiration photo …
agreed on a blue-gray Rowan Felted Tweed. Both patterns were quick, fun knits (raveled here – the vest and the hat). I finished the knitting last weekend, sewed on the buttons before Charlie came on Tuesday…and sent the pieces home with him. Without a try-on. Not even a single photo.
Until yesterday.
Halloween is huge in Katie’s neighborhood. There was a parade – and a lot of parents (and grandparents…ahem!) taking photos!
and then trick or treating. Charlie’s favorite part was passing out the candy.
…and I loved having these photos to share with my friends last night. More to come on “my” Halloween…tomorrow. Happy NaBloPoMo!
So adorable! That hat especially kills me. 🙂
Cute little man!
Delightful! So happy to share Charlie's Halloween and the costume is too special. Great way to begin NaBloPoMo! TBC!Cheers~
While he looks adorable on Halloween, Charlie is also going to look just as cute when his fox hat is keeping him warm this winter, and very dapper in his vest and bowtie at church. The advantages of having a clever knitting Grand-mère!
There's one very smart young man! How lucky he is to have you … That fox hat is very striking – no wonder he was attracting attention (apart from his general loveliness, of course).
So.Dang.Cute.Nicely done, Mary . . . and Charlie!
So much fun! He's just taking it all in and enjoying every minute! Sounds like they are in a great neighborhood!
Adorable! Love that hat!! So sweet… giving out the candy (not sure Junah would give it up!).
That's perfect! And he can continue to wear both the best and the hat!
He is the cutest and I LOVE the hat. What a great idea and I'll bet he loved being his favorite toy.
So cute and what fun to have the neighborhood so involved too.
