at hembree park this morning

happy 4th of july! not much of a breeze this morning and it’s already 75 degrees. guess we’re well on our way to the forecast high of 95.

I’ll be spending most of my day inside – a few house chores, then knitting and (re)watching john adams (we started it last night but I fell asleep before the first episode ended!) while marc plays golf. we’ve got steaks to grill and fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil for my favorite salad. and once it gets dark, we’ve got sparklers and fireworks on the dvr.
